About
I've worn a lot of hats in my life. I've been a stay-at-home mom, gone to school for Literature, graduated with a Geography degree, and worked a tech job. I write fantasy, critical essays, and memoir. I read a lot of self-help and psychological development books, but my favorite books have got to be enemies-to-lovers sapphic romance! My wide breadth of experiences make me uniquely qualified to provide a compassionate, well-rounded approach to being a labor support person.

I believe the challenges I faced in my own first two births could have been improved or avoided if I'd had a doula present. Doulas stand up as advocates for the birthing person while they are busy laboring, ensuring that their wishes are accounted for. I’m now on a mission to provide the help I would have liked to my clients. I'm happy to serve as your birth advocate regardless of where you plan to give birth: hospital, birthing center, or at home.

I've been writing and telling stories since I was eight years old. Not everyone has that much experience finding the words to tell their tale. That's why part of my birth doula package is me writing out a narrative of your birth story. You can use this story as a keepsake, whether in your baby scrapbook, framed, or turned into a baby book. You could also use the story as a processing tool, reading it out loud a few times so that your experience is more fully integrated within you.

When I'm not working, I'm most often lazing in the sun on my back porch, reading. My favorite time of year is the family reunion, and tubing with the kids out on the lake.
